This is my belly mold before Lisa gets to paint it. Watch for the finished product in future posts.
I moved down to Jacksonville back in September when I was about twelve weeks pregnant. My husband and I had been living five hours away from each other for the first few months of our marriage, which worked fine and kept the spark there, but when we found our attempts at getting pregnant had been effective, it was important to get our little family all living under the same roof.
Unfortunately for me, that meant moving away from all of my friends and family and completely starting over. It’s …
The other day my family decided to head to the mall for a little shopping. As soon as we got into the mall we headed to the bathrooms for a potty break and diaper changes. This is when we realized that our daughter had a big poopie accident and needed a change of clothes. This is also when we realized she didn’t have a change of clothes in her bag.
I had to go to a children’s store in the mall and scramble to buy her an outfit. Once my husband got her all changed it was time for my son to be changed. This was when we realized that …
During my first pregnancy I was adamant about exercise. I had heard that it would make labor faster and less painful and I was all for it. I didn’t do anything extreme but I did try to get in a good cardio work out five or six times a week.
Typically I went for a three or four mile walk. I know that is not a lot and that there are pregnant women out there logging many more intense work outs than me, but I found that it was just enough to keep my weight gain healthy and my body pain free. I …

Standing like a big girl!
I swear that as soon as we got home from the holiday in New Jersey that Addison grew up! It’s incredible! All of the sudden she’s climbing on everything and even trying to stand on her own. You remember when I was telling you that she really doesn’t like to sit? Well, if she’s not standing and walking along the furniture, she’s sitting. She’s even doing this thing where she stands up and holds onto the couch, tucks her head back under and lowers her bum slowly to the ground. She’ll do that over and over again! It’s like she’s practicing sitting down …

Don't laugh! I think traditional housewives are some of the most powerful women out there.
I know you guys are still getting to know me, but you will start to notice that I love to “do-it-yourself” on anything and everything I possibly can. Last year, I started making my own goat milk soap and even sold some of it to friends, family and online. Now that I’m nice and comfortable with it, I’ve decided to move on to other projects.
I plan to cloth diaper my baby, and have started accumulating quite a stash of diapers, covers and other accessories. For those of you who are unfamiliar with …
Now that baby is born we are constantly bombarded with offers to take pictures. On day #2 we were asked to take pictures in the hospital room. I went ahead and had them done because I felt bad for not having a 4D sonogram done for her. With my son I had everything done from sonogram video to expensive picture packages.
I don’t want to not have pictures done and then years later she asks me why she doesn’t have any baby pictures. I feel like a crazy picture mom lately. A few days ago I had even more pictures done so that we can make sure we captured her first …
I am extremely committed to a natural birth. It’s not some kind of sadistic need to prove I can do it, I just grew up in a family where natural birth was the way things were done, so it’s always been my plan even before I conceived. I’m number four of my mother’s six kids, five of which she gave birth to naturally and without throwing a huge fit over the matter. Epidurals were readily available, but until she was in her forties and had been laboring for days with my youngest sister that she finally decided to just go ahead and get an epidural. After the experience, she said she had been a bit too harsh with women who …
We have had to do a complete remodel to get our house second baby ready. The office was to be the new nursery meaning the computer, the books, the desk, and everything else had to be relocated. The only other place we could find to put the office was right in the kitchen meaning the kitchen had to be rearranged. Then, we had to put new furniture in Elli’s room so Smaller Waller could have the crib.
Just typing all of it makes me tired – it’s been chaos and I hate chaos. Still it had to be done. The disorder was frustrating, the mess drove me crazy, and the process …
The second trimester is supposed to be the best part of your pregnancy. Your energy levels return to normal, nausea tends to go away, and your hormones have leveled out a bit. I’m not in my second trimester; I’m well into the third. The ridiculous flood of hormones that triggered intense mood swings are back with a vengeance and causing the littlest things to make me cry uncontrollably. It’s not necessarily tears of sadness, but they’re tears nonetheless. I’m exceedingly sentimental or just downright sensitive at times. I try not to let this be an excuse for me to be a meanie to the people who matter or as a tool to get what I want, although the next time I’m denied ice …
Addison is almost 9 months old now and I’ve been noticing a few flaws in some of my pre-baby purchases. I am here to give all of you soon-to-be mommies a head’s up on what to look for and hopefully get you to think a bit differently about how to buy so that your furniture, car and clothes can grow with you and you baby.

A broken face ready to happen.
The first thing that immediately comes to mind is my TV stand. Yes it may seem small and insignificant, but when your kid starts pulling themselves up on everything you’ll understand. We bought our TV and stand right …
